FEST Act I - Bolzano 23.11.2012
New set change
and a small change in the bill. We were expecting the Bolzanini The Little
White bunny but here coming up on stage are Superbutt! The band (with 5 albums
and hundreds of concerts behind them – the pedigree of these guys is not bad
right?) are on full form! A one hour set and a more than satisfying overview of
Superbutts audio catalogue. Captained by the massive singer Andras (whose
movements have enchanted a few people) and by his malleable voice, the songs
become convincing under the form of groovy edge and powerful melodic
explosions. We are nearing the end of the show, the crowd has admirably
supported Superbutt’s performance (it’s a shame, as I said, about the
unexceptional turnout) and stay in front of the stage for The Little White
Bunny.

Act II - Comacchio (FE) 08.12.2012
And here we have
arrived at Superbutt. The band, extremely late due to the terrible weather,
does not seem to be affected by the situation, gets up on stage and produces an
incredible shock wave. In Bolzano they amazed me, a powerful sound but at the
same time groovy and melodic, a point where metal and melody clash; here in
Ferrara they seem possessed, the unfortunate weather and the lateness seem to
have put dynamite in the arms of the rhythm section and it kneads perfectly
with the guitar and vocals. Result? Voodo moves, headbanging and Superbutt
don’t show any signs of stopping. The accelerator is down and the car doesn’t
want to stop, an armoured tank at full speed. I have to admit, they have
impressed m, above all because they arrived a few minutes before the start of
the set and with lots of determination and humility they did not want to
disappoint the crowd that had paid for a ticket to see them.
Take note dear
bands, faced with a few km of distance you act like rockstars, these Hungarians
tore up hundreds of kilometers to be here for this concert and they have did so
at 110%! There is only one word: chapeau.
