CHAOS PLAGUE is an Italian extreme metal band that was formed in 2005 and has finally made the big step in 2012 and released their debut EP work.
Their self titled debut release contains three songs that belong to the progressive death metal genre, a genre that seems to be rather popular in the underground extreme Italian metal scene and CHAOS PLAGUE seem to do it justice. They prove to be a talented and bonded band comprised by skillful musicians who deliver technically accurate compositions. Their songs contain the variety and complexity of the progressive metal structures with the extremity and aggressiveness of death metal and the end result is homogeneous and flows really pleasantly. “Chaos Plague” contains three songs full of volume and a really stable and intense rhythm section that quite often gives the bass guitar the front role and is accompanied by fast tempos, blasting drums, elaborate acoustic guitar parts that are supported by beautiful clean vocals, odd time signatures and guttural vocals. If all these elements sound appealing to you, then I think you should give these guys a try!
